Hotel
Hotel accommodations for the 2012 Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion are with the Madison Concourse Hotel. Please call the hotel directly at 1-800-356-8293 to make reservations. Please identify yourself as a Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion attendee when making your guest room reservations. Reservation cut off date is March 23, 2012. Check-in time is 3:00 pm and checkout time is 11:00 am. The address of the hotel is 1 West Dayton Street, Madison, WI 53703
Ebling Auditorium
The symposium is held in the Ebling Auditorium located on the first floor of the microbial sciences building on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. It is about a 30 minute walk from the Concourse Hotel or a 15 minute cab ride. The hotel will run a shuttle to the symposium and it will depart at approximately 7:30am both days. Madison has an excellent public transportation system and you can use Google to plan a bus route to the Symposium
Parking
If you plan on driving to the event please be aware that legal parking nearby is extremely scarce. If you wish to secure a parking space in a nearby parking garage you can contact Vanessa (608-263-0491 or balchen@wisc.edu) and she will arrange for you to receive a space. The deadline for requesting a parking pass is April 2, 2012, The cost is $20 for 1.5 days.
Meals
A continental breakfast with coffee and tea will be provided both days. There is also a coffee shop on the 2nd floor of the Microbial Sciences building. The lunch break on Wednesday is 2 hours which should allow you ample time to visit a local restaurant for a quick lunch. A list of nearby restaurants will be available at symposium. The poster session and reception on Wednesday evening will include light appetizers and local beverages.
