Car Travel and Parking
If you will be driving to attend the symposium, Madison is conveniently located off Interstates I-90 and I-94 with easy access from Chicago (2-1/2 hours), Milwaukee (90 minutes), and Minneapolis-St. Paul (4-1/2 hours). Five U.S. highways also connect Madison with other Wisconsin cities. Free parking is available at both the Concourse Hotel and the Best Western Inn on the Park. Limited parking is available at Monona Terrace for $.90 per hour on weekdays. Public parking is also available at similar rates in Madison municipal parking ramps close to Monona Terrace.

Van Galder Bus Company
Van Galder runs several times a day to and from Chicago's two international airports O'Hare and Midway and the University of Wisconsin Memorial Union on campus. Current one-way fares are $25.00 (O'Hare) and $27.00 (Midway). Schedules are posted on the Van Galder Bus web site.

Air travel arrangements should be made to Dane County Regional Airport (MSN). A combination air/bus travel arrangement from Chicago or Milwaukee may be a somewhat less expensive alternative.
