2008 Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion

The HealthEmotions Research Institute is thrilled to invite participation in the 2008 Wisconsin Symposium on Emotion. The Symposium has become a major event for helping to advance the field of affective neuroscience, bringing together seven world-class scientists to share their insights on a particular theme. This year's Symposium explores "Emotion, Consciousness and Psychopathology."

Presentations will focus on what we are learning about the exact neurobiology of consciousness and emotion; how such knowledge is being applied clinically and therapeutically; and implications for future research in support of establishing specific biomarkers and more powerful diagnostic tools, better treatment and interventions, and ultimately, more knowledge about effective ways to prevent and minimize brain disorders.

The Symposium consistently enjoys a full house, bringing together seasoned professionals from across the world with promising young researchers (through the Travel Award Program) in an uplifting opportunity to absorb pioneering science in beautiful and serene Madison, Wisconsin.
